Carrots!

Today's Veggie: Carrots

Ingredients:
4 organic carrots
2 cups water

Peel and cut carrots in pieces, smaller pieces cook faster. Fill the bottom of your pot with 2 cups of water. Place steamer basket in pot. Pour carrot pieces into steamer basket, place lid on top and turn stove onto medium heat. Steam until fork tender 5-10 minutes.

Place steamed carrots into blender or Bullet and add about a 1/2 cup of cooking liquid. It is perfect for thinning your baby food. Blend until smooth, adding more liquid to make it the consistency baby can handle.

Allow mixture to cool and place into your freezing container. Freeze over night and then pop out and place into ziplock bags.

To thaw: Pull out 1 hour prior to feeding or microwave for 20-45 seconds depending on size.
